Indian stocks opened higher Friday with the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark index, Sensex, opening at 20,512.11 points, 13.86 points or 0.07 percent up from the previous close of 20,498.25 points.
The Sensex has been on a downward trend over the past several sessions. However, traders were encouraged by newest information of U.S. economic growth and the Indian government's promise to keep financial stability in the country.
