Jordan will issue one billion U.S. dollars in Eurobonds before June, as the country is keen to benefit from the low interest rate at present, officials said on Sunday.
The minister said The U.S.- guaranteed Eurobonds will be issued on international markets, as the interests rates are likely to increase in the second half of this year, Finance Minister Umayyah Touqan said.
Early this year U.S. President Barack Obama met with visiting King Abdullah II of Jordan, during which Obama pledged one billion U.S. dollars in loan guarantees for Jordan, a key Arab ally to the United States in the Middle East.
