South Korean stocks remained nearly flat in late morning trading on Wednesday, as investors took a wait-and-see stance ahead of the Bank of Japan's monetary policy announcement.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) lost ground from the start of trading, dropping 0.28 points, or 0.01 percent, to 1,963.61 as of 11:20 a.m. The weak numbers follow two straight days of modest gains posted by the country's main bourse this week.
