Singapore stocks finished slightly higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 3.96 points, or 0.12 percent, to close at 3,245.56. A total of 1.25 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 670.1 million Singapore dollars (536.1 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered decliners 240 to 186, while 515 others finished unchanged. The STI index lost 10.95 points, or 0.34 percent, to close at 3, 241.6 on Monday.
