Singapore stocks finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 16.61 points, or 0.52 percent, to close at 3,214.83. A total of 1.8 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 870.1 million Singapore dollars (696.1 million U.S. dollars). Gainers led losers 239 to 198, while 507 others finished unchanged. The STI index lost 5.36 points, or 0.17 percent, to close at 3, 198.22 on Friday.
