Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 19.14 points, or 0.61 percent, to close at 3,162.46. A total of 2.27 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 36 billion Singapore dollars (1.08 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers led losers 236 to 175, while 530 others finished unchanged. The STI index up 39.15 points, or 1.26 percent, to close at 3, 143.32 on Wednesday.
