Singapore stocks finished higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 31.49 points, or 0.98 percent, to close at 3,246.32. A total of 2.59 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 77 billion Singapore dollars (1.42 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers led losers 250 to 205, while 487 others finished unchanged. The STI index gained 16.61 points, or 0.52 percent, to close at 3,214.83 on Monday.
