Singapore stocks finished higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 4.63 points, or 0.14 percent, to close at 3,262.03.

A total of 1.61 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 696.8 million Singapore dollars (558.15 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers led decliners 245 to 174, while 523 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 1.4 points, or 0.04 percent, to close at 3, 257.40 Monday.
