Tokyo stocks opened higher


Tokyo stocks opened higher Thursday as a weaker yen boosted traders' sentiment here.
At 9:15 a.m. local time, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 91.20 points, or 0.58 percent, from Wednesday to 15,737.43.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange edged up 6.69 points, or 0.52 percent, to 1, 298.93.
