Tokyo stocks erased early losses and rebounded by ending on Monday following buoyant performances in other Asian markets.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rebounded 67.10 points, or 0. 44 percent, higher from Friday to finish at 15,162.10.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 9.41 points, or 0.75 percent, at 1,262. 56.
Gainers were led by metal products, foods and retail shares.
The turnover was about 1,821.2 billion yen (about 17.98 billion dollars).
