Tokyo - QNA
The Nikkei stock index ended a four-day losing streak Thursday on bargain-hunting but gains were fractional after disappointing Chinese trade data raised worries over the health of the world’s second-largest economy, according to Nikkei Asian Review.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended up 0.43 point from Wednesday at 14,300.12. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange finished 0.95 point, or 0.08%, lower at 1,149.49.
Decliners were led by utility, insurance and automaker shares, while nonferrous metal, wholesale and textile shares attracted buying.
