Tokyo markets post broad gains on Wall Street lead

Tokyo stocks rose 0.29 percent on Wednesday, as market sentiment was lifted by gains on Wall Street.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended up 43.77 points, from Tuesday at 15,369.97.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 4.7 points, or 0.37 percent, higher at 1,280.78.
Major gainers included rubber products, marine transport as well as oil and coal products shares.
The turnover was 1962.7 billion yen (about 19.31 billion U.S. dollars).
