Tokyo stocks declined Monday morning on a firmer yen after weaker-than-expected U.S. nonfarm payrolls data as well as on caution over recent sharp gains. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average shed 140.48 points, or 0.97 percent, from Friday to 14,325.68. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 9.72 points, or 0.81 percent, at 1, 186.45. Almost all 33 sectors declined led by insurance, utilities and sea transporters. Glass and metal products issues were the only gainers.
