Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) on Tuesday said it intends to finance a project to complete the capital\'s sanitation network in the coming few years. The statement is made by Chairman of the AFESD Board of Directors Abdul Latif al-Hamad at a talk session with Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed al-Sa\'adi held in capital headquarters in the presence of the Capital Mayor Abdul-Qader Helal. Al-Hamad said that the Fund would also carry out a project of rehabilitating and expanding the existing sewage treatment plant and establish a new one in the north of the capital. He indicated to the achievement progress of the AFESD-funded projects in the capital and the projects are being prepared currently to be put out to tender in 2013, praising the capital\'s capacities to absorb the funding allocated by the AFESD for infrastructure projects. The Fund will remain a key partner to the capital development, al-Hamad said. Al-Sa\'adi and Helal hailed the AFESD contributions to support the development and stability trends in the country and its permanent and rapid response to the Yemeni priority needs.
