The number of airplane traffic in Turkey rose 5.9% to 114,783 in August 2012 compared to the same period of last year, as Anatolia news agency reports. Airports in Turkey in August in total served nearly 15 million people. In the eight months of this year, the total number of plane traffic rose 4.7% to 728,131. Flight statistics which were released from Directorate General of State Airports Authority noted that in August 2012 the number of passengers who used domestic lines rose 18.4% to 6 million 214,000 and passengers who used international lines rose 12.5% to 8 million 612,000 compared to August 2011.
