The Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) announced on Sunday that the Second Quality Health Care Conference & Exhibition will kick off here on November 19. The announcement was made at a press conference attended by Chairman of the Conference Steering Committee Mahmoud Al-Sheyyab, Former Minister of Health Mahmoud Sarhan, Vice Chairman of the Conference Steering Committee Salma Al Jaouni and other officials Al-Sheyyab said that the conference combines a collaborative effort of committed individuals from world-renowned organizations with a vested interest in improving health care and outcomes for patients and communities by building cultures of quality and patient safety within organizations that provide health care services. The theme of this year’s conference is to ‘Build and Sustain a Culture of Quality & Patient Safety’, which stems from the need to focus on building a quality culture in the Arab world Sarhan said that the council organizes such initiatives to continue to raise the level of health care quality and patient safety in Jordan and across the region in order to ultimately build confidence that the systems and facilities are safe and are striving for continuous quality improvement. The Health Care Accreditation Council is a not-for-profit private shareholding company established in Jordan since 2007 and aims at raising the level of healthcare quality and patient safety through consulting, accreditation and capacity building in Jordan and the region.
