A donors\' conference was held here on Wednesday for the development of a food safety system in Armenia, local media reported. \"In recent years positive steps have been taken toward making legal amendments related to the food sector,\" said Deputy Agriculture Minister Robert Makaryan, citing increased annual agricultural foodstuff. Abraham Bakhchagulyan, head of the State Service for Food Safety, said laboratories need to be adjusted and equipped by the European standards. The food safety system is based on the experience of EU countries.
