The Canadian Embassy in Tehran has announced the transfer of its office providing entry visas to Iranians in Canada to Ankara in Turkey for cost-cutting purposes. The decision will affect thousands of Iranians, decreasing chances of their travel to Canada and Western countries, Radio Canada International has forecasted. Around 120,000 people of Iranian origin are currently living in Canada, with thousands of their relatives and acquaintances visiting them on a yearly basis.
