Debt-laden Catalonia will ask the Spanish government for funds, the region\'s finance minister told BBC radio on Tuesday. Asked about whether Catalonia would need to ask for funds from the Spanish state, Andreu Mas-Colell replied: \"Yes. The current situation is: Catalonia has no other bank than the government of Spain. This is life -- everybody knows the situation of the markets.\"
