At 9 a.m., the dollar bought 75.96-99 yen compared with 75.90- 76.00 yen in New York and 75.92-93 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday. The euro fetched 1.4197-4200 dollars and 107.86-89 yen against 1.4184-4194 dollars and 107.70-80 yen in New York and 1.4007-4008 dollars and 106.34-38 yen in Tokyo late Thursday.
