Railway revenues dropped by 0.9 percent in January to 78 million pounds compared to 78.7 million in the same month in 2012, said a statement released by the Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center on Wednesday. The number of passengers declined by 2.5 percent to 19.8 million in January from 20.3 million in the first month of 2012, the statement indicated. Cargo movement also plunged by 20.2 percent to 83.1 million ton/km, according to the statement .
