Egypt\'s foreign trade volume rose by 4.56 billion U.S. dollars in the 2011/2012 fiscal year to reach 85. 6 billion dollars, official news agency MENA reported Thursday. MENA quoted a latest report by the Central Bank of Egypt as saying that Egypt\'s exports slightly recessed during the 2011/2012 fiscal year to 26.975 billion dollars, about 16.6 million dollars lower than that of the previous fiscal year. On the other hand, Egypt\'s imports increased by 8.4 percent compared with the previous fiscal year and reached 58.67 billion dollars. The European Union ranks first regarding to exports to Egypt, with a volume of 19.2 billion dollars. It is followed by the Asian countries, whose exports to Egypt reached 11.6 billion dollars.
