Horasis announced on Sunday that the third Global Arab Business Meeting will be held in Ras Al Khaimah, from Dec.9-10, 2012. The Government of Ras Al Khaimah - represented by Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority (Rakia) and the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry will act as meeting co-hosts. “The Global Arab Business Meeting (GABM) will see 300 top decision makers convene from business and government sectors from around the Arab world and beyond. The meeting shall help to uncover the economics of change in the Arab world and to define Arab firms’ growth agenda,” said Dr Frank-Jurgen Richter, Chairman, Horasis. “The assembly will further promote the Ras Al Khaimah as a centre for business, tourism and trade; highlighting the many advantages that the emirate has to offer,” said Karam Al Sadeq, Deputy CEO & General Counsel, Rakia. “Industries continue to grow rapidly in the region, and Ras Al Khaimah is pleased to welcome global business and political leaders as they come together to inspire a more prosperous future for our people,” said Nasser Ahmed Salmeen, Director General, RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Dr Nabil Al Tarifi, Economic Advisor, RAK Chamber of Commerce & Industry were also present for the press conference. The Global Arab Business Meeting is the foremost annual gathering of Arab business leaders and their global counterparts. The 2011 and 2010 Global Arab Business Meeting - also held in Ras Al Khaimah - successfully gathered 300 participants from over 35 countries. From Gulftoday
