Grain futures were mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade, as equity markets were flat to lower and the dollar gained slightly. Corn was unchanged to off 1 1/4, soybeans were up 1 1/2 to up 5 3/4, wheat was off 4 to off 5 1/2 and oats were up 1 1/4 to up 1 3/4. Corn prices held close to steady with the forecast calling for dry weather that could help the harvest. Wheat futures closed near their low point for the day, as the price moved in sympathy with corn. Soybeans closed higher as recent lows did not accurately reflect the tight supply. The prices: Corn: Dec 7.43 3/4 off 1, Mar 7.47 1/2 off 1 1/4, May 7.46 off 1 1/4, Jly 7.40 1/4 unchanged. Soybeans: Nov 16.11 1/2 up 1 1/2, Jan 16.14 1/4 up 3 1/4, Mar 15.76 1/2 up 4 1/4, May 15.26 up 5 3/4. Wheat: Dec. 8.86 1/2 off 5 1/2, Mar 8.98 1/4 off 5 1/2, May 8.99 off 5 1/4, Jly 8.60 1/2 off 4. Oats: Dec 3.78 1/4 up 1 3/4, Mar 3.84 up 1 3/4, May 3.84 1/2 up 1 1/4, Jly 3.82 3/4 up 1 1/4.
