Greece\'s unemployment rate dropped slightly to 26.4 per cent in December, as the country remained in a deep recession for the sixth straight year, dpa cited statistics agency ELSTAT as saying Thursday. The statistics agency said the November figure had been revised from a record high of 27 per cent originally to 26.6 per cent. Unemployment in Greece is now more than double the eurozone\'s average rate of 11.7 per cent as some 1.321 million people are unemployed. Only 3.7 million people work out of a population of nearly 11 million. Greece has implemented unpopular austerity measures demanded by international creditors in exchange for bailout loans.
