Algiers – QNA
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicts 3.4 percent growth in Algeria in 2013, boosted by a domestic demand and an upturn in the hydrocarbon sector, Algerian press service quoted an IMF release as saying. The release issued at the end of an IMF mission to Algiers, led by Zain Zidane from 29 October to 11 November 2012, was undertaken as part of the annual consultations under IMF’s Articles of Agreement. The mission will draw up a report that will be discussed by the IMF Executive Boards early in 2013, the agency said. For 2012, IMF forecasts 2.5 percent growth in Algeria “boosted by the sector of non-hydrocarbons and public expenditures,” the source added.
