Algerian imports fell 7.4% to a total of 30 billion dollars over the same period last year, national statistics institute data published by Algerian news agency APS showed on Monday. Exports, 97.33% of which consisted of hydrocarbons, equaled 49.8 billion dollars (+4.63% over 2011), bringing the trade surplus to 19.73 billion dollars, up from 15.1 billion dollars in the same period last year.
