India\'s cabinet Friday gave the green light to foreign supermarket giants such as Walmart and Tesco to enter the country in a blitz of economic reforms cleared at a meeting of ministers, reports said. International firms will be able to buy up to a 51 percent stake in multi-brand retailers in what promises to be a controversial reform that was shelved last year due to fierce opposition, said Indian station NDTV.
