Italy\'s industrial production plunged 1.9 percent in April over a month as an economic recession grinds on, the official data agency Istat said on Friday, after a rise of 0.6 percent in March. The fall was much higher than expected. Economists polled by Dow Jones Newswires had predicted a drop of just 0.5 percent.
