Italy will make it out of the economic crisis, Premier Mario Monti said Thursday. In a message to President Giorgio Napolitano on the sixth anniversary of Napolitano's election, Monti said: "The country is going through a difficult phase of its history but, as you like to say, Italy will make it because it is exactly at times of difficulty that emerges the spirit of a nation (which is) strong and able to look far ahead". Monti is trying to revive growth in recession-hit Italy after steering it from the centre of the eurozone debt crisis when he took over from Silvio Berlusconi in November.
