Bari - ANSA
The fate of Italian workers and business, as well as the country itself, rests heavily in the hands of trade unions and industrial associations, Premier Mario Monti said on Wednesday in a televised interview while visiting the city of Bari. Up until now, \"little has been done to increase productivity, introduce innovation for improving salaries and to make the economy more competitive,\" said Monti. Workers\' and enterprises\' futures are \"not only, and not even that much, in the hands of the government,\" he said.
