Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane on Thursday met with Inger Andersen, World Bank Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa, currently on a visit to Rabat. Talks between the two sides discussed the ongoing reforms in Morocco, especially those of interest to the compensation fund, enhancing transparency and promoting business climate in order to attract more investment, the Danish national official said. Andersen added that Morocco’s economy continues to achieve “good and solid” results despite the global economic crisis. The World Bank, last June, had approved a $300-million loan for Morocco, devoted to the program of strengthening local capacity through support for the second phase of the National Initiative for Human Development project, which envisages providing good services and economic opportunities to marginalized groups in rural and urban areas in Morocco.
