Tunisia and Morocco today signed several multilateral agreements, drafted under the aegis of the OECD, regarding the integrity of the private sector, international investments, green growth and other fields. The news was announced in a statement by the OECD. In detail, Tunisia signed the statement on international investment and multinational companies; the statement on ownership, integrity and transparency in international business and finance and the OECD statement on green growth. The country has also formally expressed interest to join the OECD centre for development, which has been working for 50 years now to stimulate harmonic and sustainable development, stimulating cooperation between Western countries and emerging areas and promoting innovative solutions to poverty and underdevelopment. Morocco has signed the second and third statement mentioned above, because it had already accepted the statement on international investments, together with Egypt. The OECD, the statement points out, \'\'has been working together for almost a decade with the countries in the Middle East and North Africa on investments, governance, education and other issues regarding economic policies and reforms.\'\' This programme \'\'is complementary to the global effort, which includes the Deauville Partnership, to gather support for the transformation in progress in the area.\'\' (ANSAmed).
