Philippine Vice-President Jejomar C. Binay arrived here Sunday to begin a three-day working visit to Malaysia to boost economic ties between the two countries. Binay is leading 35-member delegation comprising businessmen and officials to promote investment in the Philippines, according to (Bernama) news agency. This is the first high-level visit from the Philippines since 2007. Philippine Vice-President is scheduled to meet the members of Malaysia-Philippines Business Council and pay a visit to the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) in Kuala Lumpur.
