The Tunisian government and Vice President of the European Commission responsible for Industry and Entrepreneurship Antonio Tajani on Wednesday signed letters of intent aimed at strengthening EU-Tunisian cooperation and favoring European investments in the country. The letters of intent included agreements on small and medium businesses, reduction of administrative costs, and cooperation in raw materials, satellite services, and tourism. \'\'Tunisia is a privileged partner for the EU, and we intend to support the government\'s efforts and help you realize your ambitions,\'\' said Tajani, adding he hopes the single market will soon extend to the Mediterranean area \'\'in order to share its benefits.\'\' \'\'The Tunisian revolution brought hope: we want to develop a solid economy, and to do so we also need foreign and EU support,\'\' said Tunisian Premier Hamadi Jebali, who was present at the signing of the agreements.
