The first meeting of the customs cooperation committee between the United Arab Emirates and Algeria was held here recently to discuss ways of activating the customs technical cooperation agreement, signed between the two countries in 2007. The customs cooperation agreement aims to discuss issues of mutual concern and exchange the experiences and information related to customs work and resolve impediments to trade exchange between the two countries. The meeting recommended the administrative assistance in the customs affairs and appointing a team to activate the communication between the two sides in the issues of joint interest. The committee also set up a coordination mechanism to deal with the trade exchange obstacles between the two countries.
