The State Department has announced that the United States will contribute more than $41 million to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), bringing the total US contribution to the organization to $720 million. “US funding will support protection and life-saving assistance as well as refugee repatriation, local integration, and resettlement,” the State Department said in a news release.
