Jordan and the U.S. have signed a 100 million U.S. dollars grant agreement to support the kingdom's state budget.  During the signing ceremony here Tuesday , Jordan's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation jaafar hassan who voiced appreciation for the U.S. government. The agreement was signed for USA by its ambassador Stuart Jones Meanwhile, Jordan and the U.S. will sign a 360 million U.S. dollars grant agreement before the end of September under which the U.S. will provide Jordan with the amount as an economic assistance, said the minister.  The two countries will also sign another agreement before the end of this month under which the U.S. will grant  Jordan 50,000 metric tons of wheat worth about 17 million dollars, the minister added. Jordan, one of the smallest economies in the Middle East area, heavily relies on foreign grants and assistance. The energy-poor country imports about 96 per cent of its energy needs.
