In an effort to revitalize Egypt’s economy and strengthen ties between Washington and Cairo, U.S. President Obama’s administration is sending the largest-ever trade delegation to Egypt this weekend, the State Department said Tuesday. According to the State Department more than 100 U.S. executives from roughly 50 companies are slated to arrive in Cairo on Saturday. The State Department said in a statement that the trip aims to “identify new business opportunities and partnerships for U.S. companies, express U.S. business confidence in Egypt and demonstrate a commitment to Egypt’s long-term economic development.”
