King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden will make his first official visit to South Korea later this month at the invitation of South Korea’s President Lee Myung-bak, the Swedish embassy in Seoul said Tuesday. The king and his wife, Queen Silvia, are scheduled to arrive in Seoul on May 29 for a four-day visit that includes talks with Lee, according to South Korea’s (Yonhap) News Agency. During the visit, the Swedish King will hold talks with South Korea’s President Lee Myung-bak dealing with ways of enhancing bilateral relations as well as issues of common concern.
