The body of one of the two crew members from a crashed F/A-18 fighter jet was found near the accident site in central Switzerland Thursday, the Swiss Federal Department of Defense said. It said in a statement that due to the difficult access to the accident site, the body has not yet been evacuated. It will be evacuated later Thursday and undergo an identification procedure. The \"black box\" has also been located and will be removed during the day, said the Federal Department of Defense. Experts are gathering all the information on the site and all the evidence will be analyzed by the Forensic Institute in Zurich, it said. The fighter jet, which was in a training flight, went down at around 13:50 local time (1150 GMT) Wednesday near the village of Alpnach, where a military airport is located, in the canton of Obwalden. This is the second time that this type of fighter jet crashed in Switzerland. On April 7, 1998, another F/A-18D went down in the canton of Valais in southwestern Switzerland during an interception exercise, killing the two pilots.
