Ajman - Wam

Ajman Tourism Development Department, ATDD, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with City University College of Ajman, CUCA, to promote collaboration and strategic partnership between the two parties.

The agreement is an indication of the important role Ajman Tourism plays, catering to the local population and strengthening cooperation between agencies, institutions, and private owned companies.

According to the MoU, the two parties will collaborate to provide employment opportunities for graduates and encourage students to take up eminent roles in the tourism sector and beyond.

"At Ajman Tourism, we seek to support and encourage cooperation with leading companies to enhance Ajman’s status as a leading employment and tourism hub. This partnership is a key milestone, and reflects our commitment to contribute to the growth of the nation, through providing employment opportunities to skilled young graduates. While the graduates will have access to abundant employment opportunities within the sector, it will also offer hotels and other entities in the industry skilled, quality talent within their workforce," said Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director-General of ATDD.

As part of the agreement, Ajman Tourism will also facilitate conferences, seminars, and workshops that will allow each party to explore and exchange information about valuable opportunities in the industry. In addition, grants and scholarships will be provided every year in an effort to improve and develop the skills of the workforce.

"CUCA aims to deliver high standards of education and professional guidance to all our students. We are honoured to join hands with Ajman Tourism through an agreement that will offer not only outstanding employment opportunities for our students, but also help us examine the emerging trends in the marketplace to drive us closer to our goals," said Imran Khan, President of CUCA.
