Sheikh Zayed carried flag of nation building

Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs, stressed that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan carried the flag of nation building, renaissance and comprehensive development during his wise leadership, as he was keen for the UAE to reach a prominent regional and international position.
In his speech on the Zayed Humanitarian Work Day on the 19th Ramadan today, he added that the UAE had reached a prominent international position during the leadership of the late Sheikh Zayed due to his wisdom, and he deserved the praise he received from all the countries. He further added that he was not only the president of a nation or an ordinary leader, but he was a true leader who left his footprints around the world and considered human factors while making decisions. His journey is being completed by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Sheikh Khalid highlighted that the nation’s love for humanitarian work has been realised by Sheikh Zayed's sons, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who has established many humanitarian organisations and expanded regional and international humanitarian activities, along with the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
He added that Sheikh Zayed had proven that unity is the foundation of power, as he created a model country and gained the most successful experience in the region, due to his confidence in the capacity of the UAE’s citizen to achieve development. Therefore, Sheikh Zayed, he said, placed the UAE people on the top on his priorities, firstly, as the Ruler of Al Ain then as Abu Dhabi Ruler, before ruling the entire UAE on 2nd December, 1971.
