To mark the holy month of Ramadan, At the Top, Burj Khalifa - the world's highest observation deck in Dubai's most iconic building - has extended operational hours from 11 AM to 1 AM, offering visitors an opportunity to see the Burj's unparalleled views of Dubai and beyond.

 The observation deck, which spans levels 124, 125 and 148, stands 555 metres high in the air. During Ramadan, visitors will be served complimentary packs of chocolates and Masafi water to end the fast at Level 125, as well as offering a menu of traditional delicacies that will add a tasty treat to an already unforgettable experience.

Sky ticket-holders, for their part, will first tour Level 148, where a premium lounge will offer five-star hospitality services, including authentic Arabic dishes and sweets such as bookaj, basboosa, and mammool, complemented with traditional Jullab or crimson karkadi.

Visitors will then proceed to Level 125, which has been designed as a tribute to Arab arts and culture. It is here that visitors can take in 360-degree views of the city, using high-tech viewfinders. The final-stop of the tour is a stop over at Level 124.

While a trip to the Burj Khalifa isn't cheap - ticket prices are currently Dh125 for At the Top and Dh500 for SKY tickets - it's well worth a visit, if only to experience the view during one Dubai's most special time of the year.

Given At the Top's late Ramadan hours, why not first go to one of the several nearby - and lavish - Iftar tents. The elegant Armani Tent, for example, offers spectacular views of the Dubai Fountain, topped off with a combination of Arabic flavors from across the region and signature dishes from the five restaurants that call the Burj Khalifa's Armani Hotel home.

Once done with the evening's Iftar and sightseeing, why not take a stroll to walk it off around Downtown Dubai, or - if the heat is getting to you - in Dubai Mall? Among the goings-on currently underway at the mall is a "mystical mermaid" event, in which young girls are kitted out with mermaid make-up, costumes and hairstyling, making for great souvenir photos.
