Japan has strongly condemned the series of clashes and attacks in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
A statement by the Japanese Foreign Ministry said “the series of violence cannot be justified for any reason, and Japan condemns such acts of violence”.
“Stressing that the sanctity of the holy place should be respected, Japan calls on all the parties concerned to restore the calm and not to escalate the situation,” the statement added.
