Egyptian actor Magdi Kamel has resumed to film for the series "Ibn Leil" (Illegitimate Son) where he plays the role of a young man. Kamel stated he was against the idea of playing a character representative of Egypt's former regime. The star also refused to declare his support for any political faction. Kamel told Arabstoday that the series was set in the countryside, where he plays the role of an oprhaned young man who was looking for his parents, while facing a difficult life. The series also dealt with social justice issues. Magdi said he was happy to play the role of an upper-Egyptian for the second time, stressing that drama of Upper Egypt was much stronger than any other roles.
