Top anti-EU campaigner Nigel Farage said he was increasingly confident of victory on Friday after early results from Britain's EU referendum put the "Leave" camp ahead.
"I now dare to dream that the dawn is coming up on an independent United Kingdom," he said on Twitter, hours after coming close to conceding defeat.
