Catalonia´s deposed leader Carles Puigdemont will make a speech at the seat of the regional government at 1230 GMT Saturday after Madrid imposed direct rule on the region to quash a secessionist drive, his office said.
Puigdemont will make an "institutional declaration" to be broadcast live on public television, according to a notice from the regional government.
