Hillary Clinton has won the New Jersey primary, US network's reported Tuesday, cementing her hold on the Democratic nomination and giving her a chance to become America's first female president. Clinton was expected to declare victory in the nomination race after besting party rival Bernie Sanders in the northeastern state, one of six voting in the last major primaries of the 2016 election cycle. "To every little girl who dreams big: Yes, you can be anything you want -- even president. Tonight is for you," tweeted Clinton as the New Jersey result was annonced. |
