Death toll from India temple fire hits 79

The death toll from a fire that swept through a temple in India's southern Kerala state during a fireworks display on Sunday has climbed to 79, the state's top official said.
"I got the information that 79 persons are declared dead," Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy told the NDTV news network, after officials earlier put the number killed at more than 50.
